Tuesdays Tribute

Tuesday's Tribute
A Jay and Deb Production.

Tuesdays Tribute is about shining a light on someone or something that deserves a few moments (or more) of our attention. For today's tribute I choose my Mailman....or mail woman, or mail lady or mail person.....well, anyway....I want to honor her today.

My Mail lady supports me in my mail addiction. Come rain, come snow, come sleet, come hail....she is there. Most days she is here by 10am. How cool is that?! I can hear the loud muffler of her mail truck before it pulls down our street.
I know that she is coming and some days I rush out to meet her at the mailbox. Plus she waves to me. I stand in the window, waiting for her to bring my precious delivery and she waves to let me know she has delivered. She is like a super nice drug dealer who doesn't make you pay. My dad shares this addiction with me, in fact I believe he is the one who got me hooked on the rush of mail. Many people don't understand, including my mom. Silly woman! You have to find the joy in the little things in life, even if they are just catalogs and bills.

OK, back to my mail lady. I love her. I love her loud truck and I love how she visits me everyday but Sunday. Oh how I wish she would visit on Sundays too!

Now it's your turn.....go visit Deb or Jay and send out a tribute too!

You are so lucky to get your mail so early! Mine gets here after 5.

I think this is the best post! So nice of you to give your mail person a tribute.

Nope I don't get it and I doubt I ever will. I am the silly woman who does not understand your dad and your addiction. I could let the mail sit in the box for a week and not miss it but the two of you are obsessed daily and you decribed it perfectly. It is like your drug dealer and you have to have her daily. Your dad loves our woman delivery person to so he will agree with your Tuesday Tribute. I will try to find another little thing that I need daily but the mail - sorry can't get on board with that.

Urg, mine comes 1:00 at the earliest! And yes, I care because the mail needs to be here, in my hand. To those people who let it sit in the box...well, don't get me started. Sorry Denise's Mom!

I LOVE LOVE my mailman!! He is so awesome!! We usually have our mail by 11:00 a.m. everyday (unless there is a substitute). He carries aroung little toys in his mail truck and when he sees kids out on his route he hands them out. He is THE NICEST man. I hope they never change his route and I hope that he never retires!!

I wish I could love my mailman. The first one I had, for like 18 years - was a jerk! And he pepper sprayed my dog for no reason! Then I pet her and got it all in my eyes! It was all bad. Then in AZ you don't even get mail at your house. You have to walk down the street (or in a few cases, a block or two) to get your mail. Now my mail man doesn't ever get here before 3:30. Usually around 4:30pm. I'm envious of your mail service. lol! Good post!

Vroom Vroom (translation: "you've got mail!!")

Nice tribute to your mail-lady— you'll probably get extra packages this week because of it.

I love my mailman too! But not lately, because I have been waiting and waiting for something, and it hasn't come! Boo.

I, too, am a mail addict!!! But since we moved last year, my STUPID mailperson doesn't bring the mail until 5pm!!!! THAT is torture!

I'm glad for you! My mail-person... not so nice. No matter how I try, she just never can smile :( But, I do get the "addiction" to the Mail service!

What a nice idea to give a tribute to a well deserving person. I don't see our mailperson. All I know is that we are always getting the wrong mail.:(

I love mail.If only the would bring it to my door!

I love good mail too!!

However, I DO NOT like my current mailperson. We have a large area of boxes for the whole neighborhood - NOT on our houses. Whomever delivers our mail puts the wrong mail in the wrong box more often than not and alot of things just "disappear". VERY frustrating!! So be extra thankful for your good one!!!!

I think we have the same mail person! I love how early she gets here! I love getting mail. It's so disappointing to open the box and have it be EMPTY!!!

Wow...must be great to have a great carrier...

Mine SUCKS. And he is a rude jerk, to boot. I get other people's mail at least twice a week, and he SPEEDS along our street.

Oh man...getting fired up again...my heart cant take this kind of abuse.

;-)

Great Tuesday's Tribute! Hope to see you again next week!
