I thought he was on MY side.

Are there times when you kids totally rat you out? Hang you up to dry? Well, that is what J did to me yesterday. TWICE! Both times were at dinner, and thankfully Hubby didnt mention them at all.
First....
I dont even remember what we were talking about but after I said something he rolled his eyes at me. Automatically I snapped that he is not allowed to do that and I never want to see it again. That is where I should have left it but I didnt. I push on. When I asked him where on earth he had picked that up he calmly said "From You". WHAT?!?! When??? Oh crap! He learned it from watching me? I didnt know I even did that....how can I scold him when I dont even know that I do that?

Second.....
Hubby is a card-carrying member of the Clean Plate Club. I am not. This causes problems. J said he was full before he had finished his sandwich. Hubby tells him he is NOT getting up until he finishes his sandwich and that we are not throwing it away. So he manages to eat two more bites. Then Hubby gets up to use the bathroom. I pick up J's plate and throw his sandwich in the trash. J spends the next 10 minutes asking me if I was ignoring what Daddy said and why I didnt have to do what he said. He would not stop talking about it.
So much for being nice to the kid.

This happens to me all of the time. My kids say bad words and then my hubby says, "You know where they here it--right?" Yeah, yeah, it's from me. I am trying not to have a potty mouth!!

This made me giggle because a few days ago we were driving along and traffic got backed up a little. My daughter yells from the back seat.."Hey! Get your butts movin' people! What's wrong with you? The light is clearly green!" LOL!

My son had to race right in when we got home and tell Daddy that Cat is a road rager just like Mommy..darn tattletale!

Kids just love telling the truth on other people.

Kids are so frickin' honest. I know that's noble but it's certainly not helpful.

Ha-ha! That is hilarious and sooo true to life! The other day my daughter said something that I scolded her about and I realized that she was only mimicking me! Ewww! Touche! Thanks for the giggles.

Dang it, kids need to learn when to keep their mouths shut if you're tryin' to help them out!

i hope you grounded him, especially since you were just trying to help the kid out with the food! oh, just kidding...

mine just LOVE ratting me out. they are total blabbermouths, too. as they are getting older, they are learning to keep secrets better. which is fine, as long as they aren't keeping them from ME!

oh, the clean plate club... interesting that my husband is a lifetime member, too... and i am NOT.

This too has happened to me as well.

We have a cat, hubby doesnt like the cat, the cat only loves hubby, the cat lives in the family room and garage. When the hubby is at work I let the cat in the living room so she can sit on my feet and keep them warm while I am typing away.(occasionally she will take a bite out of my toes, but thats another story)

The kids have been home from school for the last few days, and my daughter has totally enjoyed being able to have the cat watch tv with her while dads at work.

*but we dont tell dad cause he'll get mad right*

The day before yesterday while getting ready for bed, I am told that someone told dad that I let the cat in the living room while he's at work and am I teaching my kids sneaky behavior?

Uhoh, I wonder who spilled the beans?

Funny post!
