Boring Saturday

Nothing even remotely fun or exciting has happened today. *SIGH* We got up and hubby made pancakes (guess what kind?! Yep...candy pancakes....yeah, I didnt even have them today, instead I ate them with bananas). Then I read to the boys, played store (I was the cashier today), read the new book I got in the mail from paperbackswap.com (90 Minutes in Heaven by Don Piper) then helped hubby make lunch. He breaded some chicken breast strips and (guess again?!?!) deep fried them while I roasted some Rosemary Potatos. Then he was off to work and me and the boys went down for a nap. Only J wasnt in the napping mood and bugged me if it was time to get up every 15 minutes. Ugh. The only thing worse than missing a nap is having an interruptted nap. After naps I turned on a movie for the boys and sat down with my laptop to read some blogs. So there, thats my whole day. BORING. I dont even have any cute pics to share or anything. So I will move along to my Days of Grace list....

Day 8/365

-Reading to the boys. I love glancing up to see their faces while they are listening to the story.

-Tonight will be an early to bed night. Hubby has to double back in to work dayshift tomorrow.

-Getting emails from my BFF. I havent talked to her in a few days and miss her. We have both been super busy but seeing her name in my inbox brought a huge smile to my face. (Love you Val!!!)

-My MIL agreed to pick me and the boys up for Church in the morning as long as it isnt snowing (hubby will be at work and I needed a ride)

-Psalm 34:1-4
I will praise the Lord at all times.
I will constantly speak his praises.
I will boast only in the Lord;
let all who are discouraged take heart.
Come, let us tell of the Lord's greatness;
let us exalt his name together.
I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me,
freeing me from all my fears.

Sounds like a good day though. Even though it was boring. :) I love days where I can spend time with my family, my computer, and myself. :) Although missing the nap woulda bugged me too! lol Then again, I haven't napped in months.

ugh, interrupted naps are the WORST.

i do love how absorbed kids get in the books as you read to them. that's one of my faves too.

Your husband is the devil! Deep fried Oreos & Twinkies, followed by candy pancakes! I bet your sons love it when daddy cooks, lol!

I really lived your verse at the end of the post. I'm writing that one down.

Boring Saturdays are the best! And interrupted naps are the worst. But tomorrow is another day! Enjoy Church!

I did less than that, so be proud. It is really snowing here and will do so until noon I am hearing. My Dad is wishing for a church cancel, like a kid with a snow day...he is the ward clerk so looking at money is BORING.LOL

That isn't a boring Saturday Babe, you spent so much time with hubby and the kids. Memories for later that you wish you had back again later. You should have bribed JP to play quiet till Nap time was over so you didn't get interupted every 15 minutes. I didn't get a nap either but it is the playoffs and I can't miss a minute of them this weekend. I just stayed in bed late today knowing there will be no nap again today. Go Eagles. Talk to you tonight. Hope Church was good today. Love Ya,
