Morning Snow

I woke up today to a coating of snow....ugh. I hate snow. It is cold and wet and heavy. It makes my bones ache and skin dryer than normal. Thankfully this was a tiny amount and it is almost melted away already. But last night the weatherman gave his long-term weather predictions and it was not pretty.....Lots of cold and snow in the forecast. Well, one more thing we can all predict is how I plan to plant my arthritis ridden body under a heating blanket all winter. Come get me when Spring arrives, ok?

Speaking of Arthritis, I wanted to share something with you just in case you are or know of anyone who has a chronic illness. The story is kind of long, but totally worth reading. It is called "The Spoon Theory" and it explains al ot....So here is a shout out to all my Spoonies! you know who you are.....

Oh...Anyone notice my new blog background and picture cube? I was up late playing with some changes and found these two that I really liked. So let me know what you think.

Denise, I like it! I think it looks great.

We've been having sort of warm weather here in Utah. I am so happy. I don't like snow.

yes, i noticed the background, but i was ignoring for reasons that i KNOW you understand (but don't agree with, you jolly soul, you!)... picture cube is way cool.

thank you for posting that article. yes, you are right that it applies to anyone with a chronic illness, and i think explains so well the part of the illness that affects your "head"... which is the body part that carries most of the load at times, does it not?

does the heat ease the pain or make it easier to move? i don't know a lot about arthritis.

thanks again for sharing. and feel free to send the snow my way. i am ready for it.
