His favorite meal

I'm convinced my hubby will be nominated for Daddy of the year, at least by our youngest son. Last night was no different than any other night, at least to start with. You see, youngest hates to eat and every meal is a battle. He is 3 years old and would live on milk and desserts if you gave him that option. Every meal we give him what we are having and struggle to get him to eat even the smallest amount. But last night ended up different, in fact he ate every last bite of his pork. Yup, he did. How did hubby get him to eat so much?? He dunked a piece of pork into a cup of chocolate milk. It was awful and gross to watch. But it worked. Bite by bite disappeared, all dripping with chocolate milk. He even ate some potatoes dipped in his milk. It is sickening just thinking about it. But what bothers me even more is dreading dinner tonight and waiting for him to ask if he can dip his chicken in chocolate milk too.
Ugh!

Hey, whatever works!! =)

He's just asserting his independence and that's a good thing....stressful sometimes, but good!

I always say--WHATEVER WORKS!! Having had to deal with 3 picky eaters (my oldest has grown out of it) I can feel your pain!!

My youngest likes to dip in Ranch Dressing so I think that Hidden Valley owes me BIG TIME for keeping them in business!! (0;

Well, it is a little odd.... but he ate his food. All I can say is it does get better. My oldest was super super picky, now at 16 he eats pretty much anything. He still likes his burgers and sandwiches plain, meat, cheese, bun, the occassional ketchup or barbecue sauce. Have a great day!

Blech! Whatever gets him thru the meal I guess. Good luck with the chicken tonight.

ahhh, meal time. the good news is that it is not necessarily an indication of future eating habits. mine ate cut up (cold) hot dogs and cheese sticks for probably 1.5 years when he was little, and is a great, adventurous, voracious eater. he loves indian, mexican, steaks, greens... all of it.

Wow - brilliant really.

I used to have one of those as well. Now he asks for asparagus and kiwi.

It gets better!
