Election day

Today was a slow day. I went to the oral surgeon to get a check-up, then we went to Walmart and bought everything that WASN'T on our list. On the way home we stopped to vote. In our small township we don't have the problems of more populated areas. There are no lines to wait in or anything. At lunchtime we were watching the news and saw where some areas have people waiting in line for hours. That is totally insane. Our tiny little township has those digital/electronic voting machines. So why don't the bigger, more populated areas have them? I know that some do, but some of the areas shown on the news stated problems with paper jams, etc. Paper Jams? This is 2008 for goodness sakes! Paper voting should be done and over with, especially on an election as important as this one. And why don't those busier, more populated areas invest in more machines? I'm sure all those people waiting in those long lines would vote yes if asked whether more voting machines should be installed. Seems like common sense to me, but I am just a silly stay at home mom.

I don't get it either. I went at 11 and had no lines. We also have the electronic voting booths. Love them.
