Blue Like Playdough- GIVEAWAY

I was asked to read and review this book by the publisher WaterBrook Multnomah (it is part of RandomHouse Publishing). I JUMPED at the chance, especially when they offered me a second book to Give Away! This benefited me and you. Yay...I love a win-win situation.
And believe me, this book is a winner. I loved EVERY PAGE. I laughed. I cried (serious tears!). And I couldn't wait to read the next page. Trisha Goyer has a true gift. As I read this book I felt like she and I were old friends sitting around a table drinking coffee and talking about God and our kids. She pulls you in to her world and shows you how to see God in yours. All those "Mom moments" that we all have are given a new light. A perfect light. She shows how God works through everyday trials to mold and sculpt us to be more like Christ. I found myself saying "Oh yeah! Me too!" on many occasions and "Wow, I never saw things that way" on even more. But I can tell you honestly that after reading this book I see God molding me, everyday. Even when that molding hurts....she can show you how it benefits you in God's eyes.
I HIGHLY recommend this book. Personally I plan to add Mrs. Goyer's other books to my reading wish list.
So here is the best part. I have TWO copies of this wonderful book that I am giving away. Just leave me a comment telling me about any Mom moments that you believe to be God Moments too. Or just comment.....I'm not picky. But enter quickly....I am picking a winner Saturday night.
And if you dont win you can order the book HERE or HERE

A mom moment when God blessed me. Wow where to start. Well I had 3 miscarriages Before I was blessed to have my first son Philip. I was told I would never be able to have children and yet God blessed me with 4 ages 19, 16, 12 and 4. And most of all God has held my son's hand and my heart through Philip having 19 brain operations and a stroke. God is good and mommy hood is amazing.
I would love to read the book. Thanks for the chance to be entered.

There are so many moments--I can't just choose one. I will say that I think He is always with me and He helps me with every decision that I make regarding my children and I am so grateful for that!!

Does it count if you have a Mom-moment - God-moment before actually having your children?

After too much fear about the prospect of pregnancy and becoming a mom, God said to me, "If you trust me with so many other areas of your life, why won't you trust me with this?"... So, here we go, on another great adventure!

My first mom moment period was the day I found out I was pregnant with my oldest son, I was a smoker, and on the way home from the appointment, in shock, and full of amazement, I reached over to pick up my cigarettes, saw the pack, and it hit me, life was SO not about me anymore. I was responsible for a living being. I tossed the cigs out the window (littering, I know lol) and didn't pick them back up.

I want to win the book too. It sounds like a Great Book to read. The only comment I can think of to make is the many times we took you to have bladder surgery I knew that God was there with you, the doctors, nurses and your dad and I every time. It was hardest when you were so little and only about 3 or 4 years old the first time, but we knew and felt Gods presents right there with us while you went through such a horrible ordeal. Then every time after that as you kept having to go back and have surgery over and over again he was there taking care and watching over you. I'm sure you remember most of them.

Wonderful giveaway! I have many Mom and God moments, usually when I feel my patience wearing thin with the normal challenges of mommy-hood. When that happens, I can feel God's presence, warming my heart and reminding me that he's there to guide me, and it reminds me of how he has blessed me with a child, and that all will be ok. Thanks for the giveaway offer!

* Visiting from SITS

I have so many mommy moments I couldn't just choose one. God is a constant force in my life and without him I'd be lost! All things are possible through christ, it may not be when you want; but he's always on time in my experiences! :-)

Mom moments... for me- I'm just a step-mom but I feel like that's a special "mom" place to be - can be a friend who "parents" are on their case :)
