My buddy Rebecca Jo from Knit by Gods Hand tagged me with this Meme....so here we go!

Rules:

What are you wearing today?
Shorts and a sleeveless blue top

What's for dinner?
I tried a new recipe tonight. Grilled Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs. And they were YUMMY! I also grilled squash and fried potatos.

What would you eat for your last meal?
My very last request would have to combine my love of Chocolate and ice cream. So I would probably pick a Reese's Blizzard.

What's the last thing you bought?
Cheesecake......and I am getting ready to eat a piece right now!!

What are you listening to right now?

Some goofy show on TLC about staging houses to sell. Im waiting for 9pm so we can watch Deadliest Catch and then Saving Grace.

What is your favorite piece of clothing in your own wardrobe? My Dover Downs sweatshirt

What is your favorite sound? The sound of my boys playing nicely together. No fighting.

Describe your personal style? Frumpy.....LOL

If you had $300 now, what would you spend it on? Our next camping trip or bills. But if it was $300 and we didnt have any bills then I would probably either buy a new cell phone or Mp3 player. And go out to dinner with JUST MY HUBBY.

What are you going to do after this? Read my Bible and watch TV

What are your favorite films? The Green Mile, The Sound of Music, hmmmmmm.....thats all I can think of right now.

Favorite Books? The Bible, the Twilight Series, Anything by Max Lucado...especially 3:16

In honor of Michael Jackson just passing - What is your favorite Michael Jackson song? I have never been a MJ fan. Sorry.

Ok, dont hate me but I am not tagging anyone. Just feel free to grab this Meme if your having a bloggers block like I have right now.

Bella loves Me and Rebecca wants to know all about Me

I won Jeannie's cookbook giveaway!!! Bella picked my name out of the bowl and Jeannie has the cutest video of her on her blog. I am so excited and can't wait to get it and try some of her recipes. I love love love cookbooks. I can sit and look at cookbooks for hours. Planning meals and trying to find new recipes. I will tell you all about it once it gets here.
Thanks again Jeannie!!

Next I got tagged by Rebbeca to do a Meme....I love these but I am short on time today so I will have to get to that one tomorrow. I know, I know...your all dying from suspense, right?!

Now I need to ask if anyone else watched Raising the Bar last night? I normally dont watch this show but saw a few blogs mention that this would be a great one to watch. It had to do with this father who posted a picture of his son on his website. The site was his to share with family and friends. Well, the unthinkable happens and some sicko pervert takes the picture to post on his site for other sicko perverts to buy. The father ended up on trial for putting this picture online. It was a good episode and really got me thinking. We all need to be very careful about what we post....because as innocent as we like to believe our blogging is, in the wrong hands our pictures could turn into a heartbreaking situation.

You KNOW you want one!

Don't hate me because of my awesome new necklace....it's an original by J. We are both loving camp.....LOVING.IT! I'm counting down the hours until 9am tomorrow morning.

Camp-Day one

Well, today is the first day of camp for J. We dropped him off and he ran off with barely a wave. I knew it wouldnt bother him to be left someplace. School will be no problem either. After dropping him off me and R ran some errands and now we are back home, snuggled up on the couch. He is watching a movie and I am blogging....and it is SO quiet. It is like heaven......but I'm sure by lunchtime I will be missing my loud but adorable J.

Good morning

Sleepy Sunday
MySpace Graphics

Happy Sunday....it is nearly 10am and we are all still in our jammies. I was going to toss the boys in the tub but we are going to a Graduation party this afternoon and they will be swimming in the Delaware River. Which means they are going to need a good scrubbing when we get home.....so I am blogging instead. Does that make me a bad mom? LOL...I didn't think so either.
Yesterday was a good day. The Graduation party was fun and the food was great. The boys were worn out by the time we got home so that is ALWAYS a plus. Todays party is closer to our house and starts earlier in the day. I'm not sure I will be getting a nap before we go, even though I really NEED one. Oh Well.

J starts day camp tomorrow. Two weeks of a semi-quiet house...woo hoo. Can you tell I am just as excited as he is?? Did you ever notice kids start acting bratty around the same time that they are old enough to go off to school or camp? I'm thinking it is God's way of making us less anxious when they leave. What do you think?

Happy Weekend!

I have a very busy weekend ahead. So I am here asking for a few extra prayers to help me have the energy to get through. Today we have an endless amount of errands to run, then this afternoon we have a Graduation party. In the sun and the heat. Both of those wear me down quick. Tomorrow afternoon we have another Graduation party to attend. Don't get me wrong, I really want to go to the parties, I just know that my body will not be as willing as my mind.

On a lighter note, last night Amy came over for a GNI. We ate ice cream...OK, I ate ice cream and she didn't. She is really doing great at watching what she eats and riding her bike. She goes on long rides.....and I keep promising that SOMEDAY I will be riding right along with her. Yes I will. So anyway, she just finished reading the Twilight series so we watched Twilight and then Little Miss Sunshine. Which was weird but funny. We also promised each other we will go see New Moon in the theater when it comes out. So in honor of Amy I am reposting the New Moon trailer.....

I hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend!

I have never been a writer, so I have never understood writers block. Until now. My brain is empty. When I think about writing a blog post nothing comes out. Nothing. Just a blank screen. Anyone else have this problem? How do you get past it?

I'm Back

Did you miss me? I wasn't even gone that long. We went camping in PA from Sunday to Thursday. We all ate enough to last us for weeks.....it is crazy but when we get up there we eat like it is our last meal. I guess because the food is so good.

This is one of the places we go to eat and shop while in PA. If you ever get to the Lancaster, PA area....GO to Shady Maple. You wont be disappointed.
This is a nice picture of our campsite after we were all settled in. After dinner we had a campfire on both Sunday and Monday night. And we ate Smores too. Instead of using Hershey Bars we used Reese Cups. I cant even begin to tell you how awesome they were.

On Tuesday we met up with Amy and her son to spend the Day out with Thomas. It was lots of fun, especially for the kids. This was our 4th year taking the boys and they never ever get tired of it. I promise to post some pics sometime this week....I just haven't loaded them all yet.

Well, it is good to be back. Except for that huge pile of laundry and the long list of blogs I need to catch up on. Please let me know if there was anything big or important that I missed this past week. Oh and I gotta give a huge Thanks to my neighbor "anonymous"....the hydrangea looks great and is starting to bloom. Every time I see it I get a huge smile on my face. Just wanted to tell you how happy you have made me with that gift.
Thanks!!

Loving my Husband Friday

Loving My Husband Friday is for taking the time to focus on the positives of marriage. A time to build up your marriage and your spouse. Focus on something you love about your husband,
something he did to encourage you this week, or just a tip on how to keep your marriage strong. Let your husband know you're bragging on him...everyone loves praise and accolades. Try to spend the rest of your week focusing on all the great traits of your spouse...especially when your tempted to focus on the bad! And don't forget to pray for your husband and marriage as you write your post.

I found this on Attic Girls blog and thought it looked like a great idea. After all my Hubby is a great guy who does a ton to help me. When Im feeling sick and cant do much with the boys he is right there to step in and help. He cooks too! I couldnt ask for a better hubby or father for my boys!

Look out below!

London Bridge is Falling Down, Falling Down, Falling Down....

Well, actually it is my uterus that is falling down. And it is taking my bladder and rectum with it. Wheeeeee! That means I need to have my Va-jay-jay overhauled. Maybe I will end up like Jamie Summers, you know, the Bionic Woman. Remember her?!? Or am I dating myself with a reference to such an old show? Anyway....I am having this big ol mess of a surgery on August 13th and I will need all the prayers I can get. So please pencil this on your calendars...."Denise's Vajayjay overhaul".
Thanks!

Knockin on wood

Oh I really really hate to even say this.....because I dont want to jinx anything.....but I do believe my new medicine is helping. I am still having alot of pain, but the totally wiped-out yucky feeling and exhaustion is better. Hopefully in a few weeks I can start the other new med which is supposed to help with the pain. Oh boy! Is that a light at the end of the tunnel? Or a train heading my way??

Stupid and Useless Facts about Me

-When I was a kid and had to set the table, I would not sit down to eat unless everyone had matching silverware. Mom had several different patterns and this bugged me to no end. Now I have several patterns too and I don't care if anyone uses silverware, let alone if it matches. Sorry Mom!

-I am not sure what my real hair color is.

-I have been a student at three different colleges, for 3 different majors and have never finished any of them.

-My favorite time of day is 30 minutes after the boys go to bed. When it is finally quiet.

-When I was a kid I wanted to be a psychiatrist. I loved listening to people complain and thought that would make a good career choice.

-I worked at a Dog Kennel one summer and it is my favorite job of all time (right after being a mommy, of course!)

-I do not have a close relationship with my brother. But it is getting better now that he uses text messaging.

-My family had English Bulldogs when I was growing up and I would LOVE to have another one now. But I would settle for another Boxer. (OK Honey??!?!?)

-I once walked in on a man climbing in my window. I yelled at him and he left. That was probably the second dumbest thing I ever did.

-I absolute dumbest thing I ever did was open the door at 3am when someone rang my doorbell. What the heck was I thinking? Thank God it wasn't a robber or worse!

-I never wanted a daughter. Ever. (sorry to all the Girl Mamas out there....it just wasn't for me)

-I have had 5 bladder operations. I still pee when I laugh and sneeze.

-I love singing along with kid shows and movies.

-I am a terrible singer.

-Two of my best friends used to date my brother. That wasn't really a fact about me. sorry.

-I cannot ice skate or Rollerblade.

-I have a kick-ass beach cruiser bicycle with coaster brakes and some day I will be able to ride it again. YES I WILL!!!

-My biggest fear is losing one of my kids.

-My second biggest fear is losing my Hubby.

-I am Not afraid to die.

-I am learning to trust myself as a mom. And not bend to other peoples expectations of what I should or shouldn't do.

-I think of lots of things to blog about when I am lying in bed at night and can't sleep. but I forget them all by morning.

-I am looking forward to J starting school in the fall, except for the early morning part. Ugh.

-I am NOT a morning person.

-I make lists. Lists of everything. And then make more lists about the lists that I already made lists for. It is a compulsion and I learned it from my mother. Gee Thanks Mom!

-I am a messy person. Not dirty but messy. And yes, there is a difference.

-I hate yard work. I hate sunbathing. I hate the heat. and I love Air Conditioning. In my book all of those things are related.

-I wish Hubby would say yes to either a trampoline or a bounce house. Not to spoil the boys but to wear them out so I can get more rest. Smart thinking, right?!?

-I believe that shoes should be optional and I take offense at No shoes No service signs.

-I believe Marriage should only be between a Man and a Woman.

-I believe in the right to Bear Arms. We are proud supporters of the NRA. And for anyone who thinks limiting lawful gun owners rights will help the crime statistics I beg you to consider that the UNLAWFUL gun owners will not be affected by these laws and will still have their guns. And they will KNOW that we don't have guns. This gives them the advantage and I don't like it.

-I don't like poodles. or small yappy dogs. Why bother? Just get a cat.

-I don't like cats either.

-I like all other animals. Really, I do.

-Bugs freak me out. But I CAN kill them. Unless they are too big or have a stinger. Then I leave them be and wait for hubby to kill them.

-I love camping. I love our camper. I even love sleeping in it when we are in our yard.

-I was a Brownie and a Girl Scout. My mom was our leader.

OK, thats enough for now. Anyone feel like they know me better? Yeah, probably not. LOL

Are they missing part of their Brain???

What is it about Boys (and Men) that makes them completely incompetent when it comes to looking for stuff? I truly believe you could set something on fire and place it at their feet and they STILL COULD NOT FIND IT!!!! Really! How hard is it to find a pair of sandals (black and BRIGHT yellow sandals) when I tell you EXACTLY where they are?!? And you STILL CANT FIND THEM!
UGH.

P.O.S and Awards

Good Morning. The first thing I want to share today is the P.O.S buttons available over at Em's Blog. They are for all of us super busy moms who are even more busy during the summer months. Prisoner of Summer buttons are available in several cute versions. And the let your followers know that you will only be around hit or miss and to please give you a break if you dont post or comment for a few days. I love this idea. For me it could be Prisoner of summer or prisoner of Sjogrens. Because some days that keeps me from posting or commenting. Here is the button I picked...its it cute?!?
Em In Pursuit

Sad, Happy and Relaxed

I was signing on to post a happy post. One that tells how I am feeling better. That maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Then I signed on to see that I lost a follower. Boo Hoo. Was it my lack of posting lately? Or was it my whining? Who knows....but I am convincing myself that someone hit their following limit and had to cut back on a few. That way it doesnt feel quite as personal. Like they unfollowed me because they hate my blog.

Anyway...here is my happy post. It is monday. And yes, I had to start my day with pain medication. BUT my energy level is up. That thrills me. Seriously, that is half the battle. Now Im not saying I have the energy of a normal 37 year old but I do have more than Im used to having. I cleaned out R's dresser to remove winter clothes and clothes that dont fit. Then I put laundry away and started more laundry. That laundy pile seems to grow and grow. Maybe it feeds on dirt and reproduces all by itself. The next thing on my agenda is the dishes. And depending on how I feel later, I would like to pick up and vacumm. I konw, I know....Mom and Amy will be yelling at me soon to take it easy and not do too much. Ok...I will save the vacumming until tomorrow.

This weekend was great. The weather was great. The kids were great. C came for a visit. Hubby had the weekend off. What more could I ask for?? Well, I could ask for a camping trip....but I will have to wait 6 more days for that. Yep...we leave next Sunday for our first camping trip of the season. We are heading to Pa. Lots of rest, relaxation and food. I dont think it will be warm enough to swim. But it is plenty warm for sitting in the hot tub! Gotta love a campground with a hottub. This particular campground also has a spa. They offer manicure, pedicures and massages. But those arent in the plans, they are too expensive.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and is having a wonderful start to their week.

Ready for the Weekend to Start

"God told Noah to build him an Arky-Arky"

Anyone remember that song from Sunday School?!? This song wont leave my head. Must be all this rain. Rain. And more Rain. The weather is calling for nice weather tomorrow but I cant help but think it will take a week to dry out from all this nonstop rain. But I am not dwelling on that....nope. I am focused on my weekend. Tonight Amy and her son are coming over (with HOMEMADE ice cream) for a Girls Night In. We plan to eat and talk and watch "Bride Wars". The boys will be playing with Trains and having a great time too. Tomorrow morning C will be coming over for a visit and staying until Sunday. I LOVE LOVE LOVE when C comes to visit. So do the boys. Sounds like a great weekend, doesn't it?

What are your plans for the weekend? I would love to know.

HELP!!!!!

I have searched and searched and found nothing. So I coming to you with my problem. We have a well and we have VERY hard water. We cant afford a water treatment system right now (that is not the problem). The problem is sunscreen. As soon as it touches our clothes (washed in Hard Water) it stains everything a brownish orange color.Actually it stained R's hair too....he has very light blonde hair. Washing fades it a little bit but not much. So summer is upon us and we need to put sunscreen on the boys....but how do I do it without ruining all our clothes?

Crazy 8's

I stole this from Soxy Deb at Postcards from the Edge

It's been awhile

Wow. I cant remember how long I have been neglecting my blog and bloggy friends. Sorry about that. Things here haven't changed, and I dont see any improvement with my new meds. But they told me it would take up to 2 months to feel a change. I have been spending my time resting as much as possible and giving my family more attention.

This past weekend Hubby, Me and the little guys went to Dover. We had tickets to the Friday Truck Race. We were there all day and watched practice and qualifing. The race was the last event scheduled and they pushed the start time up from 5:30 to 5 because there was a chance for rain. Well let me tell you....it RAINED! As soon as they started the engines it let loose. Then they told everyone that we had to evacuate the stands because of a threat of lighting. We went down out of the stands and found a place to stand out of the rain. And we waited. And waited. And waited. Eventually we decided to just head back to the van instead of waiting for it to stop. We got soaked. R had so much fun jumping in every puddle on the way back. Thankfully I had packed a second set of clothes for the boys and another shirt for me. Poor Hubby....he didnt bring any extras.

The race got postponed until Saturday night so we talked about it and decided to take the boys back down on saturday, but to watch practice and the Nationwide series race. It was in the afternoon instead of the evening (the trucks were scheduled for 6pm, I think).

We had a great day. After two big days I was exhausted. I fell asleep in the chair as soon as we got home and slept until 8am the next morning. Then I stayed home, laying on the couch all day yesterday. I needed it. But it was totally worth it. The boys had an awesome time. Plus Hubby got to see how much they enjoyed it (for two days in a row) and is considering camping down there for the September Race. (He and I have camped there on Race weekends for YEARS but havent since J was born. Boo Hoo. I keep asking and he keeps saying no....but he is finally starting to change his mind. YAY!!)

Ok, I gotta ask....did anyone else squeal like a little girl when they saw this????

And I know this is a long post...but I have to say thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts. They mean so much to me. I really love you guys!!!
